Can we please talk about this?

Friends, my dear friends.

I have some fantastic news.

Michael Bolton is back on the music scene (as if he ever left).

But not alone. Oh no.

Have you heard who he's working with on his new single/album?

Yours truly: Lady Gaga.
Align Center

Listen to it. Love it.

I seriously do.

Trump Issues

Dear Donald Trump,

You know I've always been here for you. I've defended your hair and your money and watched your Apprentice shows and loved every second of them. The Trump towers are on my list of places to go. I want to meet you and smell you, just to see if you smell like money. I want to be an apprentice just so you can fire me.

Our relationship has been perfect...until now.

Why oh why did you agree to have Heidi Montag perform at the Miss Universe pageant? Had you ever actually heard her sing? Or seen her music videos? You should fire whoever suggested she perform, and then fire the person who asked her, and any other human being who facilitated in her appearance. It made your pageant look tacky and unprofessional. And I can't see how you expected anything different. Seriously. People call you "The Donald". You should know better.

Even Anderson Cooper was disappointed:

And a full performance (blurry but the best one I could find). Props if you can make it all the way through.

I just hope you never make the same mistake again. And if you invite her (or Spencer) to be in your next TV show, I'm leaving you. For good.

Not that long ago, Jill mentioned to me that the Backstreet Boys were going to be releasing a new album in the near future.

I was floored. I was disappointed in myself for not knowing this already. I was excited. I was worried. But mostly I was curious.

Questions raced through my mind:

Would the new sound be as good as the old sound? Would these middle aged men singing and dancing have the same effect on me now as it did before? What about Kevin-what is he doing these days? Would Howie ever open up and demand for more lead vocalist time? And how is Brian and his family? Does AJ still take his job as being the 'rebel' seriously? Would Nick ever find anyone after Paris Hilton?

I've listened to their new single. I've already decided that I will buy their new album (because thats what great fans do). But I haven't decided how much I actually like this song. I mean, I like it, but how much do I like it?

Listen for yourself. Relish the music. Relish the dorky dance moves. And relish the love.

The following youtube video is just to hear it. If you want to see the real and legit music video click HERE!

Yo Ponyo

This is how I picture a goldfish:Or sometimes, especially when I'm craving a snack above all other snacks, I picture this:
Interesting that this is how Hayao Miyazaki, director of the new movie Ponyo, pictures a goldfish:

Now, I might get some flack for admitting to this, but I've been wanting to see this movie. First off, I've seen a couple other Miyazaki films and I'm intrigued by the concepts he comes up with and how imaginative he gets with his characters. They're just so different I can't help but love them. Secondovely, well, I do what I want. Thirdly, I can't convince myself to see G.I. Joe. Therefore, tonight seemed like the perfect time to experience the magic of Ponyo.

I loved it. Every last weird element. It tells the story of two friends from different worlds, brought together by the sea, but who stay together because of their love. The visuals are unique and the storyline is perfectly tender. There are some parts of the script that could have been altered into a better state, including what I thought to be a pretty uneventful ending, but it was still fun to watch unfold. The movie depended on it's ability to relate to everyone, and in that regard it was perfect.

So go see Ponyo.

(also, do we know if Korea dubs over movies in Korean?
or do they do subtitles?
that would be good to know)

I just need to say it

My friends and I always play this game "Who would you rather". If you haven't heard of it, someone in the group picks two individuals and everyone else has to pick which of the two they'd rather hook up with. It's a great ice breaker, road trip game, or just makes you happy when you're feeling down.

For example:

Who would you rather?

Darren or Brad?

This one is tough, but I think one just stands out a little more.

Well, one day we decided to spice it up and choose between United States Presidents or government officials. We threw down some classy "George Washington or Thomas Jefferson" and "Jimmy Carter or George Bush Sr."

Then there were some tougher ones: "FDR or JFK" and "Richard Nixon or Dwight Eisenhower".

The one I'm not ashamed to admit to was "Bill Clinton or Barack Obama".

Without a moments hesitation I threw down a solid Bill Clinton. I'm not sure why, but he stands out to me as one of the best looking presidents in our nations history. Is that weird?

Also, I've become mildly obsessed with the fact that he went and got those peeps being held in North Korea. And it seemed like it happened just like that. Who knows what really went down. All I know is that, as I am about to embark on a year long trek to S. Korea, that the ever so dedicated (and good looking) Bill Clinton has got my back.

One time I had really awesome friends...

Oh wait. Thats now.

This is what we do on a normal basis:

Go see midnight showtimes of movies like Harry Potter and instantly regret it once we get to the theatre.

Hold everything in my arms when I hold Janna.

Enjoy some J-Dawgs while sharing the love

Celebrate the Pioneers with fireworks, a razor scooter, and men.

Eat a lot of frozen yogurt.

Cheer on the best softball team ever

Have them win the championship game in all its glory. Yeah.

Did I say awesome?
