In honor of this day of presidents, I will share with you some of my favorite men who have served our country over the years. First off, Teddy Roosevelt. I'd kill for a pair of those glasses. Next up, Rutherford B. Hayes: (wait, are we sure he's not in an indie rock band? he was so before his time) I will probably always be obsessed with Mr. Clinton. But how can you say no to that face? Impossible. Who is your favorite president and why?

Mom took this shot a few minutes after I 'woke up'. I put that in quotes because I don't actually remember being awake for part of this time. Actually, most of this time. But at least I know I looked good in post-op! Since then I've been watching a lot of movies, but falling asleep during most of them, sleeping a lot, not taking my pain meds because for some reason I'm not having any pain and they make me super tired, and spending quality time with mom and some good friends who have stopped by. Mom was super sweet and flew out here to be with me as I did this to myself. She's so fun. And nice. A strange boy painted my toenails tonight...so that was nice. AND Jill drew a really awesome dragon on my cast. It's so cool. Life is great, you know?

Hola my amigos. First off, can we all just appreciate this little gem found on CNN.com this morning? It is a blurb found under the heading "In case you missed it" A doctor in Ecuador notices his shortest patients are some of his healthiest. Evidence is mounting that a brown dwarf star or a gas giant planet is part of our solar system. A look back at some of the week's best stories. Can we please take a moment to recognize that they talk about short patients in Ecuador and then immediately follow it with talk about a brown dwarf star? Is it just me or could the patients in Ecuador also be considered brown dwarfs? HEYOOO. Totally not PC but I mean it in the best way possible. Also, I had surgery yesterday. I now only have one bunion instead of two. But on the foot lacking a bunion I am sporting a large and in charge pink cast. If you are bored and/or love me you can sign it. I'll be here for awhile.
