Yes, I live at home

It's a little rough admitting to the blogging world that I moved back home after graduating from college. Yes, I have a degree and yes, I still don't know what to do with my life. And while there is a certain adjustment that comes with moving back home after living away for four years, there are also some perks that you just can't find anywhere else. And I'm not just talking about the free rent. -Since there are still the younger kids around, I have an unlimited supply of Snack Pack pudding, Capri Sun, fruit snacks, and Kool Aid at my fingertips. It does not get much better than that. -Going through my old things I have come across my past phases of life including my troll collection (I even found my old troll Christmas stocking which is kind of scary looking) and comic books from when I decided I wanted to read them but only bought them from the 10 cent box. For some reason these finds have brought immediate joy to my life. -I have an excess amount of time for blogging...

Also, our VP needs to name her children things...

Oh Heavens

I realize this might be a little much, but I saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 last night (yeah, so what?) and I think I fell in love. Seriously. Meet Jesse Williams. Love. There are no other words.

Nothing happens to me anymore

I just finished reading the book Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen and I absolutely enjoyed it. It is narrated by the main character, Jacob Jankowski, from his Assisted Living Center as he retells the story of his life in the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth (aka the circus) during the Great Depression. He stumbles upon the show after leaving home and soon enough he becomes the shows veternarian and shakes up the hierarchy of the circus employees (performers above the workmen), often disrupting the usual goings-on of the crew. During his involvement with the circus, he has quite an array of experiences and develops strong bonds with his bunkmate Kinko (a little person clown), a drunk named Camel, Rosie (an elephant), and his boss's wife Marlena (who is married to August who is a complete b&#$*). I thought Gruen made her characters come alive and I was thoroughly amused by the storyline. It delves into the complexity of human (and animal) relationships and how so...

Mamma Mia!

Here is my first and probably only blog dedicated to a specific movie. Call it a review if you will. I finally just went and saw Mamma Mia! with my parents and let me tell you, this was worth the wait. For all you suckers who refused to see it with me whilst I was in Provo: BIG MISTAKE. This film was cast brilliantly; I don't care how many people have said that this was an embarassment for Pierce Brosnan...it was simply fabulous. Meryl Streep was hilarious, and the timing of the cast was impeccable. I must say that my favorite actress was Julie Walters, who played one of Meryl's best friends in the film and who, in my opinion, stole the show. It kept me laughing the entire time, along with both my parents (yes, my dad says he even wants to buy this when it comes out on DVD). Anyways, this film revolves around Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) who is about to get married when she decides she needs to know who her dad is before she can tie the knot. From reading her mom's (Meryl Stre...

One Last Thing...

Meet Joe Biden . I admit it. I have a random, funny, politician, old-man crush on Senator Joe Biden. I first noticed him on his short lived bid for Presidency at the Democratic debates, and I knew I couldn't resist his charm, his wit, and his awkwardly thinning hair. We also have very similar forehead shapes.
