Why my family is awesome: Tonight I'm chilling with some friends, doing our usual weekly frozen yogurt run, when I get this picture message from my dad. On my tiny phone screen I struggle to decipher what my brother Donald is dressed up as...but then a quick follow up text alleviates my confusion: "Donalds salad dressing costume" That's all.

I've realized for awhile now that I'll need to take the GRE in the near future for grad school, but I've been putting off studying as long as possible. Today was the day I decided to crack open the study manual and get started on the process. I'm not super excited about taking it, but I am excited about going back to school. Weird. Anyways, so tonight after work I wasted some time but then I started my studying. It was going well until...I fell asleep. I was worried it would happen so I did make sure to set an alarm for 20 mins later. You know, get a good power nap in there. Well, lets just remember that I suck at power naps. But I'm really good at real naps. So after I woke up to my alarm at the 20 mins interval, I went right back to sleep. And then I woke up to my friends (Janna and Jill-woot woot!) calling to tell me they'd be getting to my apartment in 1-2 minutes. I quickly put on pants. I have a friend. One who is semi-frequently mentioned on this blog. I still haven't decided if he likes it or not. But no big. His name (and face): Darren Darren is super fantastic for many reasons. I could list some of them right now (not all of them because that would take FOREVER), but we want to keep the man humble. So the only thing I will say is this: Despite my constant belittling of him, Darren is awesome. Truth. There is one thing that makes Darren even more special than he already is, though. He is color blind. I know, I know, there are millions of people color blind in this world. But there is only one Darren. And I'm so glad he's color blind. And I'm so glad we're friends enough for me to make fun of him. One of my/our favorite games to play is "Guess the color". I point to a color and then I ask "Dare! Continuing on talking about one of my favorite subjects (men/brown men), I thought I'd give a recap on one of our favorite people. Howeezi. If you don't remember him, take a look here . My recent encounter with Junior has made me think back on all my memories with Howeezi. I don't know if I ever told the full story on how we met, so I figured I'd just lay it all out there for the world to know. One time when I lived in Korea and my brother came to visit, we decided to visit a little place called Everland. Everland is a most fantastic amusement park with rides, candy shops, and breakdancers. My kind of place. We wandered around and bought animal headbands, ate ice cream, pretended to be animals, and had a good time. (turtle! turtle! am i not turtley enough for the turtle club?) This is by far one of the most awesome monkeys I have ever encountered. I asked the animal worker man if this monkey was his best friend and he said no, his best friend was a monkey inside the building. So then I told him my best friend was human. Sucka. My timing was almost flawless in my return to Provo in regards to one important thing: football. Yes, this past Saturday I felt at home as I wandered up the sidewalk to LaVell Edwards stadium. So ready for the world of football to engulf my every sense. I had found myself up the stadium a little early, so I bought a game program and sat under a tree waiting for my friends to call. Don't worry about the fact that Elder Holland walked past and commented on my fine positioning in the shade. I was almost embarrassed that he saw me in my bright orange pants, but thats neither here nor there. Also, don't worry that Mr. Edwards himself walked past me and we shared a quick hello and handshake. I'm telling you, prime location. And thats just the beginning. As I was waiting for my friends, this rather large Polynesian man walked past me and asked if I needed a ticket. I responded in the negative and he kept going on his way.
