Oh it's almost August?

Turns out I've been sucking at this whole blog thing.  It's a trend I've found recently as some of my peeps have stopped blogging as much.  Mostly, though, those people are pregnant or recently babied and I am not either of those things so I have no good excuse. Except pure laziness. Too bad this summer of fun is over in just about a week, when I'll have to return to work like a real adult.  I'm looking forward to pursuing my vocational goals but I'm also not looking forward to having to wake up earlier in the day and wearing pants on a regular basis. I seriously don't wear pants very often these days.  Too much work.  Also, its like a million degrees outside and I don't appreciate fabric when it gets that hot. My summer has also been full of movie watching.  I've gone to a lot of movies.  I want you think about what a lot of movies would be and then double it.  That's how many movies I've gone to this summer.  I also went on...

hair

My hair is getting long (finally) and I'm having a problem wanting to keep growing it out.  Even though its what I want. Life is hard. But you wanna know what would make it easier? This thing: It's like a cotton candy machine...for your hair. I'll take it.

NYC

I was able to visit New York last week to visit some of my most dear and precious friends. I didn't see the Statue of Liberty, go to Times Square, or see a show. (Except for Jeff's show.  What a Shakespearean)  And I loved every second of it.  Minus the rain.   So much rain!  And now all I want is rain.  (please rain in CO soon)

Boy Bands

Sometimes life gives you a gift you couldn't ever imagine.  Twice. You see, a few weeks ago I found out that a new movie theatre in our town (it is the best movie theatre ever) was hosting a boy band singalong.  And boy(band) oh boy(band), I wanted in on that. But I couldn't go that night. And then, life tries again.  And this time, you don't make the same mistake.  You go, and you love every second of it.   Imagine walking into the theatre, grabbing a ticket, and approaching your designated theatre only to find a man dressed in a fedora and a vest, welcoming you to the best night of your life.  This wannabe boy band member is standing behind a table that is filled with props to be used during the singalong: a blow-up microphone, a balloon (to be used specifically during Dirty Pop ), and a glow stick.  Yes.  So many times yes. And then, finally making it into the theatre, is where complete joy is felt.  You are sur...
