Moment of Silence 3 pm

Memorial Day is a special holiday for me. My family has a lot of patriotism and respect for those who have served our country. We have relatives who have fought in various wars and have seen repercussions from these events. Every year growing up, my mom would take us kids to our National Cemetery with handfuls of flowers to put on whatever graves we wanted. She didn't ever really talk about how important these men and women who served our country were-she showed it. She gave us each flowers and sent us on our way. We meandered through the cemetery and would put our flowers down. I always tried looking for those graves that seemed to have been neglected; the ones with no flowers and the ones that seemed the loneliest. I would reflect on their sacrifices and always feel enormously grateful for our country and our freedom. Today the Commission of Remembrance has asked us Americans to stop what we are doing at 3 pm to honor those who have died in the cause of freedom. This is to...

Angels and Ewan

I went and saw Angels and Demons tonight. I was glad because I had been wanting to see it, mainly because I did enjoy the book when I read it (about 5 years ago, let us remember). I think enough time had passed (and my memory didn't retain nearly enough detail) that this movie was fairly enjoyable. There were, of course, obvious differences between the two medias, but since I couldn't really recall the big differences it didn't bother me. Anyways, maybe that makes sense. Maybe not. It was a little long (we all know I have attention problems if movies run too long) but it was decent enough for the viewing. I don't know if I'd see it again. But you know, its worth a go. Now, let me just say that I usually love/want to make love to Ewan McGregor. He is a beautiful man, despite his sometimes gritty appearance. Maybe its because I know he can sing. And maybe its only when he doesn't smile with teeth. I don't know everything. All I know is that he...

Genius.

Please click here . Please listen to Spencer Pratt's new rap single. Please let me know what you think. Genius.

Meet the Governor

So I've been trying to read up on South Korea lately. You know, trying to feel the vibe that is this country I might possibly be moving to in a few months. And I have found some lovely things to look forward to. First one. The governor of the GyeongGi Provence (where I would live). His name: Kim Moon-soo Other than the fact that his name is Kim Moon-soo and his hair looks lusciously thick, he's got quite a past. He's been in prison. Yeah. Awesome. I think I'm really starting to like this place.

The Hills

The Hills still has me in its grasp. Part of me can't believe I've held on for this long, and another part of me hopes it will never end. There is just something about the Heidi/Spencer relationship that keeps me guessing. I always wonder if Heidi and Lauren really do hate each other that much. Will Justin Bobby and Audrina really stay apart despite their emotional past? Do Brody and Lauren really love each other deep down but are they afraid of showing it? Does Stephanie Pratt contribute anything to this world or is her only gift stupidity? These are the questions that boggle my mind. They are mind-boggling. (or mind bottling. haha). I will say that I'm glad Spencer finally gets along with someone in Heidi's family (her dad). He had a pretty sweet 'stache, so I have to respect him a little bit. I also am glad they are engaged again (not). Also I will give Lauren props for finally cutting the cord. Apparently she's only going to be in two more episode...

Friends Forever!

(so we might look like polygamist wives in this. so what. also, i need one of you other girls to send me a pic with Mikelle in it. because mine is without her.) Yeah so mostly one of the best decisions I ever made was living in Deseret Towers my freshman year. While it was a transition period, it was also very awesome. I made the best friends a girl could ask for. Among us there have been missions, weddings, babies, living abroad, and not doing anything (me). Anyways, this post is mostly to declare that I love these people. That is all.
