Angels and Ewan

I went and saw Angels and Demons tonight. I was glad because I had been wanting to see it, mainly because I did enjoy the book when I read it (about 5 years ago, let us remember). I think enough time had passed (and my memory didn't retain nearly enough detail) that this movie was fairly enjoyable. There were, of course, obvious differences between the two medias, but since I couldn't really recall the big differences it didn't bother me. Anyways, maybe that makes sense. Maybe not.

It was a little long (we all know I have attention problems if movies run too long) but it was decent enough for the viewing. I don't know if I'd see it again. But you know, its worth a go.

Now, let me just say that I usually love/want to make love to Ewan McGregor. He is a beautiful man, despite his sometimes gritty appearance. Maybe its because I know he can sing. And maybe its only when he doesn't smile with teeth. I don't know everything. All I know is that he's a handsome devil.

See?

Now: big problem. Look at this picture below. Not very good looking. I actually didn't like him in this movie. I thought they could've cast someone better for it. Maybe that wanted me to hate him as much as I did because thats what they do. Again, I don't know. But they could've at least made him pretty.

Or maybe it's just the outfit? It doesn't do it for me.

Haha... yeah it doesn't do much for you when you're staring at a preacher.

I also love Ewan and didn't know he was in this, so when I started reading your blog, I thought, maybe I DO want to see this movie. But then I finished thinking, maybe I probably still don't have any desire to.
And I'm kind of surprised the preacher garb doesn't do it for you.

Ewan... Yum.... mmmm...

Yeah, I think its the outfit as well. He looks like a nancy boy. I cant say its the comb over because he had one in big fish and was still delectable.

I'm glad you liked the movie. I hadn't heard good things so maybe now i will see it matinee style...

Another confession

(this isn't about the same subject matter as before) A lot of the time when I meet people I feel like I know them from somewhere. A good percentage of the time I realize the only way I know them is that they resemble one of the characters on the classic board game Guess Who? Does this happen to anyone else?!?!

Recent Obsession Flair-ups

You know how there are some things that you love so much and you experience these things a ton but then after awhile they just seem to fade out? But then some time passes and you almost rediscover these things with new eyes and obsess over them again almost worse than the first time? This has recently happened to me with a few things. They include: Elton John Tater Tots Seinfeld Showering Grape Juice Thats it. PS: (Did you know?!) Thanks to Dare-bear-stare for helping me learn that my own Denver International Airport is the largest airport in the U.S. at 53 square miles! Props to Denver yet again!

Take Home Chef Wannabe

So once upon a time my friend Jeff and I made up our own little tradition. We called it "Friday Picture" and each Friday we would walk around campus and take a picture with the most awkward/awesome/unique looking individual we could find. It was something I looked forward to every week, and we would constantly surprise ourselves with the kind of people we'd see walking around BYU. A lot of weridos there. One day we decided to meander through the library to see if there was anyone extra special for our Friday Picture. Boyyy, did we find that special person! World, meet Take Home Chef Lookalike. I saw him and I couldn't believe the similarities. The striking features. The blond, pointy hair. We even found some silverware to make the photo more true to life. ( The real Curtis Stone ) Try to tell me they don't look alike. Just try. I think the best part of the story is that Jeff's girlfriend at the time (now wife) had dated Take Home Chef-a-like. And we di...
