Commitment Phobe

Lots of people say that they're commitment phobes. I believe a lot of them, I mean, it's easy to be scared of commitment. Whether it be a fear of relationship commitment, religious commitment, or job commitment, they all seem to plague us at some point in our lives. But what happens when someone (like me) is a commitment phobe with EVERYTHING? I mean, everything. I have a hard time listening to an entire song because sometimes I just can't go through with it and I start to wonder about all the other songs in my iTunes library or I start to think about how I love the song currently playing but I want to save it for last so I wait and tell myself I'll listen to it last but then I always seem to forget. So I listen to maybe 3/4 of the song and then I change it. Which really messes with my play count because the most random songs have the most plays because they happen to come up every time my playlist is on shuffle and I'm doing something else and not really payi...

A Letter

Dear Jamie Foxx (aka Eric Marlon Bishop), You know, I can't believe I went most of my life without really caring about who you are and what you've brought to this world. I used to be so naive. But now that I know you I'm trying to make up for lost time. I'm listening to your music like every second of every day; I'm watching your movies; I'm studying your Wikipedia page (who knew your dad converted to Islam and changed his name to Shahid Abdula? Not I); I'm trying to really get you, Jamie. And I think I'm doing a pretty good job. Your songs Unpredictable , DJ Play a Love Song , and your most recent Blame It have really changed the way I look at life. They inspire me to get up and dance and smile and live life to its fullest! (and not do anything bad, naturally) Also, you are just so clever, picking the name Jamie to be ambiguous because female comedians were always the first to perform and you hoped it would help your chances of being called. I m...

Why Today has ROCKED my world

It's only Tuesday, but I think I may be having the best week ever. At least today was amazing. Check out what has happened: 1. I committed to Korea foreal foreal. (Mom and Dad-I need my passport info. thanks :) ) 2. Korea will be happening September. Believe it. 3. I found a cheap phone on eBay last week. It arrived today. Best part is that is works. IT WORKS! 4. In celebration of a new phone, I got a new ringtone. I would say what it is, but mostly its one of my typical choices involving awkward reactions when it goes off. Let's see if anyone can guess it? 5. My dear dear friend Chrissy is back from her mission and she has been visiting. yeahhh buddy. 6. Chrissy's little brother has been doing the BYU Football camp. Today we went to watch a scrimmage. Today I saw Bronco Mendenhall there. Today I took a picture with the same man.

My Congrats

I send my congrats to rapper Lil' Wayne. It has been reported that two women are pregnant with his children. And they are both due in the same month. I hope he raps about it. And I mean, who wouldn't want to hit that? Lucky girls.

Meet Joe Semanoff

I'm a lover of the BYU Football team. We all know this. A couple seasons ago I made a powerpoint of the team roster so that I could identify the players on campus when they weren't wearing their jersey. It proved to be quite helpful and I still have those names and faces committed to memory. Well, last week I was glad that I had made this decision. I was at a party. My dear friend Deanna was moving away to the Delta and we were celebrating her life but mourning her departure (more on this later. I miss that girl!). Anyways, as I'm sitting there on the couch, chillin, listening to some Kanye, none other but a former Coug walks in the door. There is no hesitation. There is no shame. I see his face and I don't even think before yelling out "Joe Semanoff!" louder than necessary. He looks at me. He probably thought he knew me. But he didn't. Because I'm a semi-stalker. Don't worry though. It gets better. I touched his overly worked pecs. P...

I've said it before...

...and I'll say it again. Dear Blogging world, Why have I been neglecting you? Why oh why would I put my favorite activity on the back burner for so long? You have never let me down but I have let you down. I am deeply sorry for this. And I know that I've dedicated myself to this multiple times, but here I go again: I will be a better blogger. I just need to figure out how to balance. You see, blogging world, I am really good at blogging when I don't have a life. Somehow these times inspire funny little insights and entertaining stories; but these times are also when I don't seem to have work or friends. The last couple weeks have actually been busy for me. I got a temp job (but luckily for you it ended) and I've decided to be a professional socialite. Yeah, busy times. It will only get busier as I think this summer will be full of weddings to attend, pool time, good friends, and diet coke. That's all anybody needs. INSERT: I've been lovin' on...
