OK its about time for another installment of what I think about movies. Because my opinion matters... Last night I went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. First off, let me just say that I love 3D movies. LOVE them. Its abnormal. When I first saw Spy Kids 3D I thought it was soo cool and I relished every second. That being said, Monsters vs. Aliens was not that awesome, even in 3D. I mean, there were some awesome 3D moments and I suppose there were a few funny parts, but in general it was simply just a mediocre film. It didn't have an amazing plot. The characters were flat. This would all be more acceptable if the 3D was awesome but even that was only decent at best. I did get excited when I realized Stephen Colbert was the voice of the President, but then I was disappointed at how little they used that. Sorry Dreamworks. Try again. Or don't. Yeah, its not really a story. Its most def not a good story. So 'Zane', who came to my ward last week, did not come back for a second week. I don't really know anything about him, and I figured he wouldn't be back because he said he was just visiting, but I guess a girl can still dream. I hoped. I tried using the Secret but then stopped, because there are other, much important things to use the Secret for (aka France) and there you have it. Zane is out. Out of my life. Out of my mind. Out of his mind (for just walking away). and so this story goes. the end.

Wow. So I started working and now I need to figure out how to balance my blog with work. Don't worry, though, I still have my priorities. This weekend was pretty awesome. My opera friend James was in a competition and he got 7th place (and $3000)...makes me want to take up singing. I want a piece of that opera pie. Along with his beautiful and tremendous performance (he made one woman cry with his piece from La Boheme), a few Asian men competed with him. They were the most darling men I've ever seen, and they all had fabulous hair. Long and flowing. Just the way it should be. I even asked one guy (I think this name was Wei?) if I could touch his hair and he let me. Boo.yah. I also pulled out some vintage video games and played those for awhile. Nothing gets better than Duck Hunt and Wheel of Fortune for Nintendo. Except maybe Wheel of Fortune for PS3. Maybe. And I am sorry I sounded like a really big nerd just then. Lunch time is over. Yeah. Weird how fast the days are passing. So this weekend, being the last weekend in the month of March, I've been trying to decide a way to celebrate. I thought about marching everywhere this weekend. I thought about reading about the March family in the classic book Little Women . I contemplated staying glued to March Madness. Instead of doing just one of these, I will do all three. So if you see me walking, excuse me, marching around, holding a book by Louisa May Alcott and listening to basketball scores this weekend, just know I'm celebrating the final weekend in the third month, in this, the two thousand and ninth year of our Lord. Also, I googled March just to see if anything comes up that I could use on this blog. It brought up results on the March of Dimes, a calendar, and Ides of March. My entire life I have loved history. My favorite books are historical novels and my favorite classes in college were probably in the history genre. Now, I don't know if other people have experienced this, but sometimes during these history learning sessions, I feel myself developing crushes on some of these men of whom we speak. I put myself back in whatever days I'm learning about, and I just know that if I had been alive back then I would've had a love crush on them. And most of the time these feelings are based on what they did/said (good or bad...who doesn't love a bad boy?) rather than what they looked like. For example: King Louis XVI of France Alexander the Great Judge John Marshall Sitting Bull Cercamon (one of the first troubadours!) Yeah. Ok. A little weird. But these men are just...irresistible. (and dead...awkward)

I decided to start the day out right today. I put on a classic CD. A CD like none other. GAME TIME! Try guessing the artist from the following clues. She: -Is currently a recurring character on The Young and the Restless -Had a long term relationship with the late Jonathan Brandis ( The Neverending Story II ) -got her B.A. from Harvard -was on a hit tv show in the early '90s -had her first album certified gold in 1999 -is BFF's with Will Smith If you guessed Tatyana Ali , you are sooo right!!! You know, the girl who played Ashley Banks on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ? Yeah. Mostly her album Kiss the Sky is awesome. The cheesiness of her lyrics and the random voice-overs are unexpected and ridiculous. But in a fantastic way. I guess all she does now is promote President Obama. Cool. Let's just remember her for who she really is:
