I think I've finally decided on my five books/movies of choice. It was tough to pick only five (but again, there is no limit!) but after much prayer and contemplation, here are my choices:

1. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson/Directed by Bharat Nalluri

2. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Jean-Dominique Bauby/Directed by Julian Schnabel

3. Atonement by Ian McEwan/Directed by Joe Wright

4. Blindness by Jose Saramago/Directed by Fernando Meirelles

5. The Color Purple by Alice Walker/Directed by Steven Spielberg

(I'm also probably going to read a few more books/see a few more movies including Ne le dis à personne and Black Like Me...)

1. Are you more likely to see a movie if it’s based on a book?

This depends for me. Sometimes when I love a book I will refuse to see the movie version because I know it will taint the beauty of the book. But there are some movie adaptations I can't wait to see. I guess it all depends on if the movie looks like it will suck.

2. Do you prefer to read the book first or see the movie first?

I most def prefer to read the book first.

3. List one movie that was better than the book it’s based on, and one book that is better than the movie.

Ok, so I know you'll all love this. My favorite film, The Stupids, is based on a series of childrens books, and while the books are entertaining, they do not compete with the movie. I love that movie.

I thought the book The Kiterunner way mo' betta than the movie. I mean, the movie was good, but not as good as the book.

4. In your opinion, what film is the most accurate representation of the book?

I thought Of Mice and Men was pretty accurate. I love that book/movie.
